Hi everyone! I have an R5 7500F CPU that's showing an idle clock speed of 4600 MHz, and I'm not sure if that's typical. My idle temperatures range between 49 and 53 degrees, which seems okay, and during gaming, it heats up to around 60 to 65 degrees, occasionally spiking to over 70. I've undervolted my CPU to PBO -30 with a max limit of 85 degrees. I've turned on EXPO/XMP, which raises my CPU temperatures by about 3-5 degrees. Just to give you context, my room temperature is around 28-30 degrees at night and 30-32 during the day. Everything's new, and I also ran Cinebench multi-core to see scores of 70-75, rising to 75-80 on warmer days. For reference, my other components are an ASRock Steel Legend B650, an ASUS Dual RTX 5060Ti 16GB, and a NZXT Kraken Elite 360mm V2, with 2 x Kingston Fury Beast 16GB at 5600 MHz. Is this high idle clock speed something to be concerned about?

It’s totally fine! That idle speed is normal for Ryzen CPUs. Your temperatures look good too—50-55°C at idle is pretty standard. Overall, everything seems great, so no worries!
Yup, that’s just how these CPUs behave. Idle temperatures around 50-55°C are common, and yours are well within range. Your load temps look good as well, so you’re in a good place!
Thank you!
What’s the CPU load when it’s at 4600 MHz? Just curious if it happens during a particular task or background process.
I noticed it was only about a 7% CPU load.
Thank you!
