I'm new to the Linux world, having switched from Windows to various distributions like Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, and Debian. I've done a lot of distro hopping and I'm finally looking to settle down with a system that allows for complete customization and control. I'm really interested in Arch Linux but I don't feel confident enough to install it without some guidance. I have a tech background and am comfortable with coding (Python and C), so I'm ready to dive into the terminal. I'm currently using Mint, which I find familiar, but I want to experience the depth of customization that Arch offers. I'm trying to set this up on a spare PC before I mess with my main rig. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're worried about jumping straight into Arch, you might want to consider trying an Arch-based distribution first. Distros like Manjaro or Garuda can give you a taste of Arch's capabilities with an easier installation process. They come pre-loaded with useful apps and a desktop environment, so you can get started without the intense setup that Arch requires. Once you're comfortable, you can always switch to pure Arch later on! Good luck!
