Is a 5-Year-Old PC Worth Buying for $300?

I'm considering purchasing a used PC featuring a Ryzen 5 3600X, an RTX 2060 Super, and 16GB of RAM for $300. The seller mentioned that it has been in use for five years, and I'm wondering if that's a good deal or if I should steer clear of it.

Make sure to test it out in person before sealing the deal. Buying untested can be a recipe for disaster.

I'd be careful, though; the RTX 2060 isn't the best for gaming anymore, and there are newer options that could offer better performance at that price. I'd look around more before making a decision.

If everything's working properly, that's a pretty solid setup for 1080p gaming, especially for $300. You should be able to handle newer games pretty well too.

Every used PC is a bit of a gamble. I have an older setup that still runs fine after over a decade! Just make sure to clean it and maybe replace the thermal paste if you buy it.

Honestly, those components could be worth around $200-250 if sold separately. If the PC is well-maintained and has decent other components like the PSU and motherboard, then it sounds like a fair price.
