I'm currently using a CHIEFTEC Smart 500W power supply, and I'm unsure if it's sufficient to support my system, which includes a GTX 1080 Ti and a 3 1200 CPU. My setup doesn't include any additional cooling fans; it just has a tower cooler for the CPU along with one SSD and one HDD. Would this power supply be reliable for my setup?

It should work, but I'd definitely recommend upgrading to a 750W PSU. Your current setup will put a lot of strain on the 500W unit, and you don't want to risk instability or damage, especially with a powerful GPU like the 1080 Ti.
In my experience, 500W might not be enough, especially during heavy loads. I've had issues with similar setups using 550W power supplies; the power kept cutting out. Looking up the recommended specs online suggests a minimum of 600W for the 1080 Ti.
A 500W power supply can technically work for your setup, but there are a few things to keep in mind. How old is your power supply? If it's in good condition, it might manage, but you could risk damaging components over time with that load. It's usually better to opt for a higher wattage PSU, especially for peace of mind.
