Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU from an RX 580 with 4GB VRAM to a 5060 Ti with 16GB VRAM and I want to know if it would suit my setup. Here's what I've got:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- Motherboard: B450 Gaming X (Gigabyte)
- RAM: 16GB
- PSU: Njoy 650W Plus Gold
I know my CPU might not handle everything perfectly, but I want to avoid any major performance issues, especially since I do a lot of 3D modeling and video editing, although I still game sometimes. I'm looking for any thoughts on whether this upgrade makes sense or if I might run into lags and freezes. Thanks!

It sounds like the 5060 Ti would actually be a solid choice for your needs, especially considering the 16GB VRAM. While the 9060XT is a popular option for gaming, for your focus on 3D modeling and video editing, the 5060 Ti should serve you well. Just keep in mind that the B450 motherboard blocks some PCIe 4 features from your Ryzen 5 3600, but it shouldn't be a dealbreaker. You might want to check for any BIOS updates that could help with compatibility.

Thanks for the detailed response!! So should I look into a new motherboard?
