Is a 600W PSU Sufficient for a 5060 Ti and Ryzen 7 5700X?

I'm thinking about upgrading my setup to include a 5060 Ti graphics card and a Ryzen 7 5700X processor. My current PSU is a 600W EVGA Gold, and I've heard varying opinions about whether that's enough power. The wattage calculators suggest my total draw would be about 450W for this build. Just to clarify, my setup includes:

- Ryzen 7 5700X
- Asus Prime OC 5060 Ti 16GB
- 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM (4x8GB)
- Two 1TB SATA SSDs
- Cooler Master Black Tower Cooler
- Three 120mm case fans

Can someone with more experience weigh in on whether my PSU will handle this upgrade?

Your build should be fine with a 600W PSU. The 5060 Ti uses about 180W and the 5700X peaks around 88W, so you've got plenty of headroom. However, if you want to be super cautious, a 650W PSU would be even better. I run a 7700 XT and 5800X on a 750W and that's been great for me!

Not really. I wouldn't trust a 600W PSU for something like this. Do you have any backup plans, maybe look at a 5060 or 9060 XT that might suit your PSU rating better?

Thanks for the input! I'm considering downgrading to the 5060 or 9060 XT if needed. What do you think? Any other alternatives?

Using a site like PC Part Picker can really help. Just select all your components, and it'll give you an estimate on wattage. It's generally a good idea to have around 100W extra as a safety margin, though.

Absolutely, you should be good to go! In most cases, you won't even hit 300W under stress, so you're in a solid position.
