I'm planning a new build with a Ryzen 5 7600X3D and an RX 9060 XT. I was considering the 650W XPG Pylon, but I'm unsure whether that provides enough power or if I should choose a higher-wattage unit for extra headroom and future upgrades. What wattage and PSU tier would you recommend?

A quality 650W unit should handle those components without a problem. I’d lean toward 750W if you want some extra breathing room for future upgrades, though 650W is sufficient for the current parts.
A reliable PSU is something you can carry through several builds, so spending a little more for extra capacity can make sense. For this build, 650W is plenty, but 750W or 850W gives you more upgrade headroom and may be a better long-term investment.
The system’s estimated power draw is fairly modest: the processor is around 88W under its package power limit and the graphics card is roughly 170W at stock settings. Even allowing another 100W or so for the motherboard, memory, drives, and fans, total usage should be well below 650W. A good 650W PSU is enough, but an 850W model can be worthwhile if the price difference is small.
I’d compare prices on a higher-quality 850W model, such as the Montech Century II 850W or SAMA G850. They can sometimes be found for around the same price as lower-tier 650W units, and the extra capacity gives you more flexibility later. The XPG Pylon is usable, but its quality rating depends on the exact version and is generally less appealing than a strong modern 850W option.
