I'm building a system and would love some advice on my power supply. Here are my specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
- GPU: Gigabyte RX 9070 XT
- RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3600 MHz
- PSU: Corsair CX750M (750 W, 80+ Bronze, semi-modular)
- Storage: 1 NVMe SSD + 1 SATA SSD
- A couple of case fans
AMD suggests that the RX 9070 XT needs a 750 W PSU, and since my CPU isn't super power-hungry (65 W TDP), I want to know if the CX750M will cut it or if I should think about upgrading to a bigger 850 W PSU for better long-term performance. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the insights! I came across some discussions about 2-pin and 3-pin connectors but I’m a bit lost on that. Can anyone clarify?
It really depends on your future plans and budget. The Montech CENTURY II 1050W is a great choice for only $110 if you want something that lasts longer and can support future upgrades. Just bear in mind your local availability!
Your current PSU should be more than adequate! Remember, the recommendations are based on worst-case scenarios. If you've got a decent quality PSU like the CX750M, you shouldn't run into any power issues.
Honestly, I’ve seen folks using a 650W PSU with the 9070 XT, and while I wouldn't recommend it, it seems to work for them. But I totally agree with considering a higher wattage for peace of mind!
You should be fine with a 750W PSU! Many users have reported running the 9070 XT on 750W without issues. But if you're looking for more headroom or future-proofing, an 850W would definitely be a safer bet in the long run.
