Hey everyone! I'm feeling overwhelmed as I prepare for my final exams, which are super important for my future career. In my country, the only job that pays well (around 2000 EUR) is in DevOps, but I've been hearing that junior positions are really hard to get due to high expectations. My university options are networking and telecom software, electrical engineering, system engineering, or mechanical engineering.
I love Linux and have just started learning Python; my dream has always been a job in IT. But I'm worried about jumping into DevOps, especially since most job postings seem to expect junior candidates to handle senior-level responsibilities. I've had a failed business in the tech space before, and the stress of that experience still weighs on me. My backup plan is to become a mechanic or a CAD engineer, places I feel I could thrive but would never match the potential earnings of a DevOps role. I'm hoping to get some insight on whether pursuing a career in DevOps is a smart move or if I'm better off sticking to something more familiar. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Definitely, DevOps is a growing field and becoming increasingly important. It’s not just about development and operations anymore – think DevSecOps where security is integrated from the start. The paths to get into DevOps can vary, but if you're passionate about it and willing to put in the effort, you can find your niche. Just keep learning and networking!
Security can be tough, right? I’ve heard blue teaming can be demanding with the need to always be on alert.
