I have a Ryzen 7 9700X, and I'm seeing temperatures around 40°C to 46°C. Are these temperatures considered normal for summer use?

Thanks, everyone! It's reassuring to hear that my temps are normal!

Dude, that's actually pretty chilly for a CPU! You're in the good range.

Thanks for the reassurance!

You're lucky! My 9950X3D spikes to 80°C but drops back down to the 50s when I open apps. You're doing well if you're hovering around 40°C.

I’ve got the same CPU, and my idle temp sits around 45°C, so you’re definitely in a good spot.

Okay, maybe I'll try putting the PC outside at -10°C for kicks!

46°C? That's nothing to worry about! The max for your CPU is 95°C, so you're way below that. Even if you’re really pushing your system, the CPU will throttle to avoid overheating.

Got it, thanks!
