Is a factory reset a good solution for cleaning up my laptop?

I've been using my Windows 11 laptop for over 5 years and while it's still functioning well, I've accidentally installed some unwanted software like PUPs and possibly malware. I'm struggling to completely remove these unwanted files, despite having tried blockers and other methods. I'd like to have a fresher, cleaner system. Given that I can back up all my important files to the cloud, is a factory reset a reasonable option to consider?

I swear by Revo Uninstaller! It’s a free tool that can help get rid of any stubborn programs lingering on your machine. Give it a shot before you decide to factory reset!

Honestly, I’m not a big fan of factory resets because they can sometimes create more issues than they solve. Instead, I suggest backing up your essential files, doing a full secure erase of your hard drive, and then performing a fresh Windows 11 install. You'll be surprised at how much faster your laptop feels afterward!

Wiping your drive is a classic solution for sluggish Windows machines. I did this for my mom’s old laptop and it felt brand new after installing Windows 11. It's a crime how Microsoft forces old devices into retirement when they can still do basic tasks fine!

Listen up! Your laptop is like a battlefield of unwanted programs and junk files. A factory reset acts like a nuke, wiping all that hidden crap away. Since your important files are backed up online, it’s a perfect time to hit that reset button. Just be cautious after the reset - avoid downloading anything sketchy, or you'll end up back at square one!

I totally vibe with your advice! Just a heads up though, some older laptops might need specific drivers for a fresh install, so make sure you have those ready after the reset.
