Is a Gamemax PSU a Good Temporary Replacement?

My original power supply died a few months back, and I couldn't replace it because my mom thought I'd struggle to do it myself (which I can totally handle). Right now, I'm doing work experience at a computer store, and they're cool with me bringing in my PC tomorrow to replace the PSU as long as I buy one from them. They only sell Gamemax PSUs, which ring a bell for being pretty bad; I saw them ranked as low as F and at best, E tier on PSU tier lists. My old PSU was E tier too, and it lasted me nearly two years, but I feel uneasy about using another low-quality one. I'd prefer to wait for something better, but if I don't replace it soon, I won't have a working PC for months. So, is it safe to use a Gamemax PSU temporarily, or should I avoid it altogether?

Honestly, I'd steer clear of a Gamemax PSU. There are horror stories about cheap power supplies ruining hardware or even causing fires. It's definitely not worth the risk!

I hear you, but it's my only option right now. I'm running an R9 5900X and an RTX 3060, but the GPU is a smaller ITX model they cheaped out on, so I'm unsure if that adds to the concerns.
