Hey everyone! I'm a newbie to 1440p gaming and just upgraded my monitor. I've noticed that my 4070 Super reaches temperatures around 73°C while gaming, with the fans spinning at about 2000 RPM. Is this typical or should I be concerned?

73°C is actually a solid temp for a 4070 Super under load, so nothing to worry about! My own 4060 stays between 65-75°C when gaming.
Yeah, it's common sense. Since 1440p has roughly 2.5 times the resolution of 1080p, your GPU is definitely working harder, so seeing temps around 73°C is expected.
Totally normal! Don’t panic about the temperature. Modern GPUs can handle heat pretty well and can even go up to 90°C without a problem. If it gets too hot, the GPU will just throttle down to prevent damage.
While 73°C is okay, be mindful of your CPU too. It can get hot too, especially with something like a 5800X3D. Just ensure you're keeping it cool, below 87°C under load is ideal for max performance.
Definitely normal, and you're still within a safe range while gaming. Just keep an eye on it, but 73°C is fine!
