Is a New PSU Necessary for Upgrading to a 5070?

Hey everyone! I built my PC back in 2020 and I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600 with a 2060s. I'm considering upgrading to a 5070 or possibly a 9070xt, but I'm not planning to change anything else in my setup. My current specs are:
- SSD: 512GB (not upgrading)
- HDD: 1TB (not upgrading)
- RAM: 32GB (not upgrading)
- Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro
- PSU: Gigabyte B700H Bronze

I usually game at 1440p with 144Hz on Overwatch 2 and a few older titles like Dying Light. I typically game for about an hour or two a day. So, do you think I should get a new PSU for the 5070?

Honestly, I think you're fine sticking with your current PSU. The 5070 is pretty efficient, and since you mentioned the 5000 series can undervolt well, your Gigabyte B700H should be sufficient. Just keep an eye on your power consumption when you upgrade.

I would suggest considering a new PSU, especially since your current one is Bronze-rated and not very well-rated in reviews. While it might not blow up, you really don’t want to risk damaging your new components with a potentially unreliable power supply. Aim for something rated Tier A or B for better safety!

Thanks for the insight! I guess it wouldn't hurt to invest in something more reliable.
