I'm working on my first PC build and I'm still learning about GPUs. I want something budget-friendly since I'm just a casual gamer. I'm considering two motherboards: the Asus Prime B760M A AX and the Asus TUF B760M Plus WiFi. The ASUS TUF is about $60 more because it has a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. I'd like to know if this upgrade is worth it for a board that'll hopefully last me 5 years. Do you think PCIe 4.0 will still be relevant in 5-10 years, or will I regret not going for PCIe 5.0?

Honestly, unless you plan to get a high-end GPU down the line, a PCIe 5.0 slot might not be necessary. Most casual gaming setups won’t take advantage of it for a while. But if you want some future-proofing, it’s a decent consideration!
Agreed! It's usually better to spend less now unless you're going all out for gaming.
Definitely consider what types of games you'll be playing. Currently, most GPUs don't need PCIe 5.0, and even 4.0 is only slightly slower (1-4% behind on performance). If you’re not planning to go hardcore gaming, PCIe 4.0 should serve you just fine.
That makes sense! I just want to make sure I don't miss out in the future.
