Is a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and RX 7700XT a Good Combo for My $1200 PC Build?

I'm working with a strict budget of $1200 for a new PC, which needs to include a monitor. I came across a YouTube video suggesting a combination of the Ryzen 7 5700X3D and RX 7700XT. My primary uses will be programming and competitive gaming, so I'm aiming for a 240Hz 1080p monitor. However, I also enjoy singleplayer games from time to time. I'm wondering if this hardware setup is solid, if there might be any bottlenecks, or if it's a bit overkill for my needs. Any recommendations would be super appreciated, as I'm looking to keep this PC for at least the next six years!

For your budget, you might want to consider a build that includes the Ryzen 5 9600X and Radeon RX 9060 XT. This setup can provide better performance and more upgrade options down the line. If you’re interested, I found a build guide on PCPartPicker that fits well within your budget!

I don’t know much about PC parts, but I've heard the X3D chips are better for CPU-intensive tasks. Should I stick to my original combo, and will it be feasible within my budget?
