I'm considering whether to use an AIO (All-In-One) liquid cooler for my Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which I'm planning to install in a Be Quiet Pure Base 501 case. Do you think that's necessary, or will a ventirad (air cooler) suffice given the CPU's power requirements?

If you're going air cooler, the PS120 or PA120 could be good picks. They'll serve your setup well. Just know that while the 7800X3D is manageable heat-wise, if you choose a heavy-duty cooler, you might end up with some noise issues. For example, my Phantom Spirit 120 Evo gets pretty loud when it's working hard during gaming.
Honestly, you don't really need an AIO for the 7800X3D. A dual tower air cooler will handle its power draw of around 100W perfectly well. It's a solid option for this CPU without going overboard.
A Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 should work flawlessly for cooling your CPU. I've had great success with it. But if you're leaning towards AIOs, I'd recommend checking out the Arctic Liquid Freezer III. I use the 280mm model myself, and it keeps my 9800X3D nice and cool. Just keep in mind that AIOs typically last around 5 years before you might need to do some maintenance.
