Is Alerts Bar Legit or Just a Scam?

I received an email from a company called Alerts Bar claiming that my email and passwords have been sold on the dark web. This could explain the hacks I've been experiencing lately. They offer a more detailed report on their site for £50, and I'm considering whether I should buy it or not. I'm leaning towards yes, but I'd like to hear some outside opinions on this. They do have a LinkedIn page and a YouTube channel, which is why I'm a bit torn about the validity of their claims. After some reflection, I think I'll just change my passwords and delete any unused accounts. What do you all think?

Just look up your email on 'haveibeenpwned' to see if your data has been leaked. That's a free way to check for security issues. And remember, you can always reset your passwords on your own without needing to pay anyone.

I get that you found their LinkedIn and YouTube, which makes it feel more legit, but think about it: they could still be running a scam. If you’re getting a lot of hacks, just change your passwords and log out from all devices. You can also enable two-factor authentication for extra security.

Honestly, it sounds sketchy. A random company emailing you for money? That's a classic scam. If you’re worried about your passwords, just change them. It’s free and easy. You should also consider using a password manager like KeepassXC or Bitwarden so your new passwords are strong and secure. Don’t give money to these kinds of spammers.

You might want to ask them how they got your email. It’s possible they buy leaked data and target users to sell their services, which may be unnecessary at best or a scam at worst.
