Is an RTX 2060 Enough for Gaming on a 768p Monitor?

I'm considering upgrading my GPU and am looking at the RTX 2060 and 2060 Super. I currently use a 1366x768 60Hz monitor and don't plan to change it anytime soon. Would buying the 2060 Super be overkill since I can play games on the regular 2060? Is there a significant performance difference that would make the Super worth it?

Honestly, it might be time to think about getting a new monitor. You can find decent 1080p 144Hz monitors for around $150 these days, which would be a big upgrade from your current setup.

Yeah, playing at 768p in 2025 is kind of a throwback. I guess budget is a concern, but if you can manage it, consider getting a better monitor first!

If you’re not going for an IPS panel, you could probably get a 1080p monitor for about 75 to 100 euros.

Even with a lower resolution, textures need a lot of VRAM, so I think the 2060 Super is a better investment. It has 8GB of VRAM and offers a noticeable increase in performance.
