Is Asrock a Good Choice for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D?

I'm planning to get a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and was considering using the Asrock B850 Pro-A motherboard. However, I've seen some concerning reports about CPUs overheating, particularly with Asrock boards, and it's making me hesitate. Should I stick with the Pro-A, or is it better to switch to a different brand? If you have suggestions for alternatives that are in the same price range as the Pro-A and provide similar performance, I'd love to hear them!

You might want to look into the Asus B650-Plus or the B650 Tomahawk; they’re priced similarly in my area and have solid performance. I've had great experiences with Asus motherboards, especially regarding their BIOS features.

I recommend steering clear of Asrock entirely for an X3D chip. Brands like MSI and Gigabyte are much more reliable for high-performance processors. They have strong reputations and proven boards that won’t leave you worrying about overheating issues.

The Pro-A is decent, especially in terms of price and I/O options. Just ensure you flash it to the latest BIOS before installing your 9800X3D. If BIOS updates make you uneasy, consider the MSI B650 Pro or ASUS TUF B650 series; they’re a bit pricier but have great VRMs and fewer reported issues with the X3D series.

Are you referring to the B650 or B850 versions? There seem to be various models with similar names, and I'm getting a bit confused.
