Hey everyone! I've started burning CDs and putting together my own physical media because I'm getting tired of streaming services constantly yanking away the content I love. The movies I download usually come in 720p or 1080p, and I want to watch these on my larger TV. I'm worried that the quality might be really poor if I burn them onto CDs. Can anyone give me advice on how to do this better and if there's a way to improve the viewing experience?

First of all, you should burn your movies onto DVDs or Blu-Rays for better quality. CDs are mostly for audio and data, and they're becoming obsolete. If you want longer-lasting options, check out M-Disk Blu-Rays, which need a compatible burning drive but can be played on any Blu-Ray player. Regarding quality, I grew up watching standard TV and found that even SD DVDs look good compared to those old formats. You might actually enjoy the results more than you think!
Ah, got it! I meant DVDs; I'm still learning the ropes. So, should I get Blu-Ray discs specifically for anything above 480p? I didn’t realize that was important. I'm okay with lower quality, just concerned it’ll be too grainy to enjoy.
