Is CachyOS a Good Choice for Linux Beginners?

I'm looking to switch to Linux without going for dual-booting, and I've been testing out various distros on my Full-AMD laptop with Ryzen 7 7435HS and Radeon RX 7600S. Out of those I tried—Mint, PopOS, MX Linux, Bazzite, and CachyOS—I found CachyOS to be the fastest and most responsive, without the lagging cursor issues I faced with others. I'm interested in using the KDE Plasma desktop environment primarily for coding and gaming (mainly single-player games). Is CachyOS beginner-friendly, and is there a good selection of programming applications like C++ and JavaScript on Linux? Thanks for your insights!

While CachyOS might seem appealing, I wouldn't recommend it for total beginners. Although it has KDE Plasma and some stuff pre-installed, as a derivative of Arch Linux, it can be quite overwhelming if you're just starting out. If you're focusing on programming and gaming, there are plenty of user-friendly alternatives, like Mint or PopOS, that can handle everything you need without the headaches.

I’ve heard that Mint can be a better choice for beginners since it’s more stable and has a large community for support.
