I've spent three hours trying to get ChatGPT 4o to help with some Python coding, but it seems to be messing up pretty badly. The indentations are all over the place, it keeps making circular errors and corrections, and it seems to ignore parts of the script I've uploaded. It's like the programming logic has completely gone out the window! Has anyone else noticed this, or is there something I'm not doing right?

It seems like ChatGPT 4o isn’t really built for coding tasks. It's more chatty and creative, but it stumbles on technical stuff. If you want better coding assistance, try using o4-mini or o3 instead. They’re designed for logic and problem-solving, which might be more up your alley!
I can relate! I tried making a chart from my sleep log with it, and while the first attempt turned out okay, the second one was totally off. It seems to forget simple things like AM and PM sometimes, which can be super frustrating!
Three hours sounds brutal! If you’re not getting results, maybe it’s time to explore other options like Claude or Gemini. They might give you the answer faster while we wait for OpenAI to fix things!
Haha, I feel like I’m at a casino with this! I tried Gemini too, but it kind of stripped my code down instead of helping. It's like it didn’t get what I needed!
Yeah, I’ve noticed that too! The system keeps marketing 4o as suitable for all tasks, but it just can’t hack it with coding.
