I'm in the process of building my first PC and have been shopping for RAM. I keep finding CL36 RAM for around €20 less than CL30 RAM. I initially thought CL36 was better but I've realized that it's actually worse in terms of performance. So, is it really worth spending the extra €20 for CL30 instead?

I’d say go for the CL30 if you can, but the improvement in latency won’t be super noticeable outside of specific tasks. If you’re not planning to overclock or tweak settings, either one will be adequate for general usage.
CL30 is definitely better than CL36 because lower CAS latency means faster response times. The difference in performance can be small depending on what you're doing, but if you're serious about gaming or performance tasks, that €20 is worth it. Plus, for AMD systems, 6000MHz CL30 is optimal!
Honestly, the difference isn't huge. If you’re just doing regular tasks, CL36 will work just fine. It’s not like you’ll be losing a noticeable performance boost. Save that €20 for something else, maybe for better cooling or other components.
That makes sense! I just don’t want it to hold my performance back without realizing it.
