Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my PC with a 9890x3d, and it came with some new RAM. However, when I checked the specs at the store, I realized they didn't specify the CL latency—only that it's 6000MHz, so it could potentially be CL48. I'm curious—just how bad is that? I don't need a nerdy breakdown; I just want a straightforward answer on whether it's going to significantly impact my system. Should I consider returning the RAM after it arrives?

To put it simply, yes, CL48 is on the higher end and not ideal. In some games, you might not see a huge difference, but in others, it can be pretty noticeable. If you’re running a high-end CPU like the one you have, pairing it with slower RAM seems pointless. CL30 RAM is really cheap right now, so you might want to think about returning it.
I see what you're saying. Just out of curiosity, how much difference are we actually talking about?
