I'm considering buying the pro version of Claude. I tested the free version by trying to upload a script that's about 1400 lines long, but it wouldn't let me because it exceeded the limit. I'm curious if Claude Pro has better capabilities and allows for larger uploads or if I should look into alternatives like Gemini or ChatGPT. I really like Claude, but this limitation makes me hesitant. Any insights would be appreciated!

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with Claude Pro right now. Anthropic seems to be pushing users toward their more expensive Max plan. I hit the usage limits way too quickly, sometimes after just a couple of messages. It's just not worth the money for me at the moment.
I've found some bugs when using Claude Pro with big projects, especially on MCP servers. Sometimes it stops mid-conversation, possibly due to token limits. You might want to consider options like Claude Code that only charge you for the tokens you use.
I just canceled my Claude subscription because it kept messing up my code. I ended up rewriting things over and over—it felt pointless. I used to recommend it, but now I wouldn't. Just something to think about before you commit to the Pro version.
I've been on Claude Pro for months and use it mainly for coding. Honestly, I’ve never hit any limits—1,400 lines of code is nothing! I regularly deal with projects that are around 40,000 tokens without any issues. Plus, there's a Usage Tracker if you want to keep an eye on your usage. You should be good to go!
You can upload around 400-500KB of code, which usually translates to tens of thousands of lines. So, you'll have plenty of room in Claude Pro for your scripts. It shouldn't be a problem!
