I received a quote for €2500 for someone to build a custom PC for me, and I'm wondering if this is a reasonable price. The components listed are:
- Case: Antec P20C ARGB - TG/USB-C/Midi/EAT
- Power Supply: Antec 750W GSK750 V2 EC 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX3.1
- Mainboard: MSI 1851 Z890 GAMING PLUS WIFI - DDR5/4xM.2/DP/HDMI/USB-C
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K 125W/5.5GHz/BOX (no cooler)
- Memory: 32GB DDR5/6400 CL32 (2x 16GB) Kingston FURY Renegade RGB
- Storage: 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe2.0 Samsung 9100 Pro TLC/14700/13300 (Windows SSD)
- VGA Card: 5070 ASUS PRIME RTX OC 12GB/3xDP/HDMI
- Water Cooler: Cooler Master ML 360 Atmos II VRM Fan ARGB
- Game SSD: 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe2.0 Samsung 990 EVO Plus TLC/7250/6300 (total price includes tax, assembly, Windows 11 Pro, and installation).
I checked some local pricing websites and, although I can't get the exact parts as quoted, it seems the total cost for similar parts comes in just under €2000. The extra €500-600 seems a bit much to me considering I know the builder needs to make a profit, but it feels excessive for just assembling the PC. I'd appreciate any insights on whether this price is fair or if I'm being ripped off!

It seems like a lot for a gaming PC with a 5070 in it. I'd recommend using a local pricing site like PCPartPicker specifically for the Netherlands to compare component prices and figure out if the final quote includes a reasonable markup for assembly.

I did look up parts on Tweakers, and even with some variations, I still come under €2000 for a very similar build. It just feels like the markup is too high.
