Is €550 a Fair Price for a Used RTX 4070 Ti?

I came across a used Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (12 GB) listed at €550, and I'm looking for some advice before I make the purchase. The card comes with the original box and has a manufacturer warranty valid until 2026. It's in very good condition, and the seller is local, meaning I won't have to worry about shipping. Currently, I have an RTX 2070 Super and I mainly game at 1440p with a 240 Hz monitor. Do you think this price is reasonable in 2025, or should I hold out for a better deal on a 4070 Ti SUPER or even consider a used 4080?

Whether this deal is good really depends on the current market rates for similar cards. Personally, I think €550 might be a bit high. You could likely find an RTX 5070 or RX 9070 for that price. Since you're gaming at 1440p, it might be worth looking for a card with 16 GB VRAM. If you don’t specifically need the Nvidia features, I'd suggest going for the RX 9070 instead.

I think €550 is a decent price for the 4070 Ti, especially if the seller is trustworthy and the card is in great condition. In my area, the same card is selling for between €650-700. Plus, the 4070 Ti significantly outperforms the 2070 Super in 1080p gaming, so overall, it sounds like a good deal!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too! Do you think the 4070 Ti would work well with my setup though? I have a Ryzen 7 3800X, 16 GB of DDR4 3200 RAM, and an MSI X470 board. I'm also planning on upgrading to 32 GB of RAM at the same time — will that make a noticeable difference in performance with both upgrades together?
