Is it a Good Idea to Buy a Monitor with a Dead Pixel?

I'm considering buying an ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACS monitor that has a dead pixel. It costs 174.90 euros, while a new one goes for 220 euros. My total budget for a monitor, case, and power supply is around 300 euros, so my options are limited. I really want a decent 1440p monitor, but I'm unsure if it's worth it to buy one with a dead pixel. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Or can you suggest any other good 1440p monitors?

It really depends on how much the dead pixel bothers you. For me, I’d skip it because I think it would be annoying to notice it all the time while gaming or watching movies. It's best to get something without flaws if you can afford it, even if it means saving a bit more first.

Thanks for your input! Do you have any good recommendations for a 1440p monitor?

If the dead pixel isn’t in the center, you might be fine, especially if you usually play games with darker scenes. But for that price, you should consider how often you’ll actually notice it. Just make sure you're comfortable with it being there!

Honestly, I wouldn’t buy it for that price, especially with the dead pixel in the middle of the screen. You’re better off waiting for a monitor without defects. Also, check if there might be some discounts available at the store!
