I'm currently using a PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, an AMD RX 5600 XT GPU, and 16GB of RAM (2x8GB). My system can handle most games pretty well, averaging about 120 FPS, although it struggles a bit with Arc Raiders. I'm considering whether I should buy a Crucial 2x16GB 6000MHz RAM kit for €300 now, especially since I've read that RAM prices might rise due to an expected shortage. I'm not looking to upgrade my CPU or GPU anytime soon, as my finances are tight. Would investing in this RAM be worth it?

I wouldn't go for that RAM. Upgrading just the RAM won’t significantly boost your performance, especially if you aren't running out of memory in games. Plus, a lot of gamers are leaning towards consoles right now, where the PS5 Pro could give you more bang for your buck instead.
Honestly, I’d skip the RAM upgrade for now. Your current setup seems to be running fine, and RAM prices are already pretty high. If you don’t need the extra RAM immediately, it might just sit there for the next couple of years. I suggest sticking to what you have until you actually need it.
It’s hard to justify spending €300 on RAM when you're planning to build a new PC in a couple of years. You might find better value upgrading other components like your GPU or waiting for the next-gen parts to drop prices.
Given your current setup, you probably won’t see much difference with that extra RAM. Most games don’t utilize more than 16GB effectively; just wait it out for now.
Remember that RAM prices fluctuate, and you might get a better deal down the line. Consider saving that money for when you're ready to build that new rig instead.
