I'm currently enrolled in a backend development bootcamp and I'm considering teaching myself some frontend skills. I'm really curious if this is a smart move or if I'm just complicating things for myself. Any insights would be appreciated!

Any new skills are great to have, even if you don't use them directly later on. So, I'd say go for it!
Learning frontend alongside backend has been super fulfilling for me. There's nothing like seeing your code come to life on a browser! I highly recommend going for it; it's so satisfying!
I really think it's important for new developers to have a grasp of both frontend and backend skills. Knowing the basics on both ends can really help you understand the bigger picture of web development. So yeah, definitely learn some frontend!
I see, thank you for answering!
As someone who didn't touch frontend until like seven years into my career, I'd say learning it early on is a big plus. Being able to visualize your backend work with even a simple frontend makes a huge difference. Plus, understanding how frontends interact with your APIs can really enhance your backend skills!
Thanks for the response!

Alright, will do! Thanks!
