Is it a good idea to transfer my OS from a SATA SSD to a new NVMe SSD?

I currently have my operating system installed on a 256 GB SATA SSD, along with a 1 TB hard drive for storage. Recently, I got a 1 TB NVMe SSD and I'm considering moving my OS to that drive. My SATA SSD mainly holds just the OS, so I wouldn't lose any important data. However, I've heard some advice suggesting it's better to keep the OS on a separate drive. Should I go ahead and make the transfer to the NVMe SSD?

Transferring your OS to the NVMe SSD will likely make no noticeable difference in everyday tasks for you right now.

I always believe in starting fresh! Doing a clean install on the NVMe SSD can be a good way to ensure everything runs smoothly.

That's a good point! I might go for a fresh install then.

Honestly, if your SATA SSD is booting up fast, there's no urgent need to switch. You could just stick with it until you're ready for a fresh install in the future, then switch over to the NVMe.
