I sometimes unintentionally hit my desk with my elbow or knock it with my chair, which causes my PC to shake a bit. I'm worried about whether this could damage the parts or lead to performance issues in games. I just built this PC and I'm pretty anxious about it, so I'd like to know if my concerns are valid.

If your PC is just shaking a little due to desk bumps, it’s usually not a big deal. However, if you have a traditional hard drive, that might be more sensitive to vibrations while it's reading or writing data. But since you mentioned you have an SSD, you should be fine most of the time! Just make sure everything is properly secured, and you should be good to go.
Honestly, if it’s just a little shake here and there, it shouldn’t cause any major problems. But over time, constant knocks might loosen things up. I had a similar experience before, and eventually, some components got loose and I had to reseat them.
It's definitely possible for bumps to knock things loose, especially if the RAM or other components weren't properly seated initially. Just keep an eye on it, and if you notice any issues, check to make sure everything is snug.
