I've noticed that RAM prices have skyrocketed recently, and I'm planning to build a PC in mid-2026. I'm uncertain whether I should buy RAM now before prices go even higher or if I should wait for them to potentially drop. I understand that predicting prices is tricky, but I would appreciate advice from anyone experienced in building PCs as I'm still new to this.

When I was in your shoes in 2016, I bought when prices were rising, and it just kept going up. If you're planning to build in 2026, getting it now might save you some cash.
I'd buy now if I were you. The outlook for RAM prices isn't positive. Even though some components have seen price drops, RAM seems to be on a different path.

If you need RAM now, I’d say go for it. Production of DIMMs isn’t increasing, so prices might not drop anytime soon but should stabilize in the near future.
Even if they increase production, it won't happen quickly. I heard from a Sandisk rep that they might not have new lines until late 2027.
I just snagged 32GB for 150€ a couple of days ago, and today, that same kit is 230€. If you see a good price, just buy it because it's likely to keep climbing!
