Hey everyone, I think my NVIDIA 3070 has bitten the dust. Here's my current setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bkhQLP. I built this rig back in 2020, and I'm worried about compatibility issues with my Z490 motherboard if I buy a new GPU. Also, I'd love to know if my Intel i7-10700K and 32GB of DDR4 RAM are still decent compared to today's standards. I really don't want to have to purchase all new parts since I only game a few times a month on less demanding titles like CS2. Any advice? Thanks!

If you're mainly playing games like CS2, you probably won’t hit VRAM limits, even with a GPU like an 8GB card. You might just face issues with low-end GPUs in a 3.0 slot, but for casual gaming at 1080p, you should be fine. Just don't expect to max out settings because you'll still have some bottlenecking no matter what. If you want to upgrade, consider something like a 5060 Ti or 5070 for a decent boost. Also, if you notice your CPU or GPU hitting their limits while gaming, that's a good indicator of where your next upgrade should go!
Got it, thanks! One more thing, I only fire up my PC every couple of weeks. Today I played CS, but after just five minutes, my PC froze and the fans went crazy. I’ve never overclocked it. I recently tried enabling secure boot in the BIOS, could that have caused it? When I tried to reboot, it wouldn't turn on unless I disconnected the GPU. Think my GPU's done for?
