Is It Normal for My CPU to Run Hotter Than My GPU?

Hey everyone! I've got a new PC with an i5 14400f and an RTX 4060. When I play games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, or Baldur's Gate 3, I've noticed that my CPU temperature gets hotter than my GPU. The CPU is usually around 70-75 degrees while the GPU is at about 65-70 degrees. I only have two fans in my setup: one for the CPU and one for exhaust at the top. I'm wondering if this is something I should be concerned about, or is it pretty normal?

That's pretty standard since the CPU usually draws more power. You mentioned your cooler, but didn't share what it is—an after-market cooler might help if you're looking for lower temps. Just a thought!

It’s all good! Anything below 80 degrees for the CPU is generally considered perfect, and that goes for the GPU, too. So you've got nothing to fret about.

It's totally normal! Both your CPU and GPU are well within safe temperature ranges, so no need to stress. The RTX 4060 is a low-power GPU, which is why it runs cooler compared to the CPU.

No worries here! Your CPU can actually use more power than the 4060, so seeing it run hotter isn't surprising at all. Just keep an eye on it, but you're in a safe zone.
