Yesterday, my PC went through a RAM memory training process where the DRAM light turned on for about a minute before my system booted up normally. I read online that this can happen and is usually nothing to be concerned about. However, I haven't updated my BIOS or added any new components recently, although I did set my CPU to eco mode not long ago. I'm using an MSI MAG X670 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard, a 9800X3D CPU, and Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32GB RAM running at 5200 MT. I tend to get anxious about these kinds of things, so I want to know if putting my CPU in eco mode could have triggered this memory testing process.

It's pretty common to see RAM memory training, especially if your PC has just powered up for the first time or if it detects any changes in RAM capacity. It’s probably nothing to worry about. If you're really concerned, running a memory test like MemTest86 could help set your mind at ease. I had a coworker who's system liked to do memory training sometimes, and he turned off that option in the BIOS. Also, make sure to check for any BIOS updates since they can fix stability issues. Just remember to back up your important files before updating anything!

Can those RAM memory tests really happen randomly, though?
