Is It Normal for My PSU Fan to Spin During Gaming?

Hey everyone! I have a question about the power supply unit (PSU) fan. I've noticed that after playing games for about 2-3 hours, the fan on my PSU starts to spin when it's using around 93 watts of power. Is it normal for the PSU fan to spin like this? I always thought they were supposed to be quiet. Also, is there a way for me to find out which PSU I have without opening up my case?

Yeah, it's totally normal for your PSU fan to spin! The fan is there to keep your power supply cool, and it only kicks in when the temperature or load gets high enough. So if you're pushing your system while gaming, it's expected for it to start up. Don't worry about it!

I recently noticed mine spinning too when gaming. I guess it's just a sign that everything is working as it should.

Honestly, you shouldn't be worried about the PSU fan spinning. It's designed to do that when it gets hot, especially under load. If it starts making weird noises or behaves strangely, then you might want to check it out. But regular spinning is normal!

Yeah, I only noticed mine when playing demanding games too. It’s a sign your PSU is doing its job!
