Hey everyone! I'm just about to enter my third year in college studying Software Development, and I'm starting to look for internships and job opportunities. Even though I've learned the basics of languages like Java and C#, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (and some Bootstrap), I feel like I don't really know enough to contribute effectively at an internship or job. I've done various projects, but when it comes to coding something from scratch, I still feel uneasy. Is this a normal feeling? Also, what are some ways I can practice outside of school, aside from just following tutorials? Thanks!

Yes, it’s super common to feel this way at the start. As a beginner, you tend to not even realize how much you actually don't know, but the good news is that this feeling persists even as you advance. The more you learn, the more you gain perspective on what you still need to know.
You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way. Just remember that engineers often don’t know all the answers; they just know how to find them. Embrace the journey and enjoy learning with the process!
It’s completely normal! I recommend starting small—think of a mini-project you want to build and just dive in. Learning by doing is one of the best ways to pick things up. I’m currently working on a small web app for my portfolio, and while it's challenging, I'm learning a lot each day!
I’ve been a software developer for 10 years, and I can tell you that I still feel like I’m constantly learning. Don’t worry too much; internships are the perfect opportunities to grow your skills and learn on the job.
Absolutely, it's totally normal! I’ve been coding for over four years, and I still feel like there's so much I don’t know. The more I learn, the more I realize that there’s a vast amount of knowledge out there. Don’t stress too much about it; every coder goes through this. It’s a continuous learning process!
