Hey everyone, I'm building my first PC and I've noticed that many listings for the 9800X3D come without a cooler. I'm having a hard time finding one that includes a cooler. I'm planning to use a Thermalright PS cooler anyway, so is it fine to buy the version without a cooler?

Yes, it's totally fine to buy the 9800X3D without a cooler. The stock coolers that come with CPUs are usually not that great, so if you're getting a better one like the Thermalright, you'll be better off!
Actually, there are no 9800X3D CPUs that come with a cooler. It's pretty standard now for these higher-end models to require you to provide your own. Don't sweat it; just focus on getting a good cooler like you mentioned!
I knew this was a dumb question! So no cooler means it’s the tray version, right?
