I'm currently using my PC horizontally because my video card is quite heavy, and I'm worried about it bending the PCI slot. I don't have a support brace, and even if I did, the mounting holes on the video card don't match up with my case, making vertical use risky. However, I've noticed that the part of my case that rests on the furniture isn't completely flat; it has a slight elevation meant for hiding cables beneath the motherboard. Is it safe to leave the PC resting on this elevation? I'm not feeling very confident about it. Are there alternative options to support it better?

Used to think of PCs as always being vertical, but I’ve had no problems keeping mine horizontal for years. I had it on a shelf that wasn’t fully enclosed, and it actually improved airflow. Your concerns about PC sag are valid, but positioning it horizontally can often alleviate those worries too!
If your case is designed for horizontal use like the Thermaltake models, it's a solid option! Just ensure there's enough ventilation and you're all good. Plus, it creates a unique setup!
I've had to use my PC on its side before when my CPU cooler bracket broke, and it worked just fine! I even considered keeping it that way permanently. It really just depends on your setup and how you manage the airflow. Going horizontal can actually make cooling easier in some cases.
Yeah, generally, PC cases are designed to be versatile. As long as you keep airflow in mind, being laid on the side shouldn't create issues.

Exactly! My previous case had decent airflow when laid flat. It really helps avoid GPU sag, which can be a big issue.
