Is It Possible to Transition into Front-End Development?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to change my career as I'm currently working as a teacher, but I really dislike it and am not confident I'll have a job next year. I've learned some HTML and I'm halfway through CSS, planning to start JavaScript soon. I enjoy coding and prefer working alone, since I'm introverted and find the high interaction in teaching exhausting. I've seen that software development jobs are projected to be in demand by 2030. I'm wondering if anyone can share their experiences or advice on breaking into front-end development? Any insights would be super helpful—thanks!

While there are some opportunities at startups, it's generally easier to find another teaching job than a dev position right now. Most companies expect you to communicate regularly, especially as a junior dev, so that 'solo coder' role may not exist as you imagine it. It’s good to prepare for a more collaborative work environment.
