I'm considering upgrading my graphics card from a 3070 to a 5080 without changing my entire setup. Here are my current specs: Ryzen 7 5800x, X570 gaming edge wifi motherboard, Corsair 32GB RAM at 3600MHz, and a Corsair RM850 PSU. I use both a 2K and a 4K monitor. Will this swap cause any bottleneck issues?

Absolutely, you can make that upgrade! It’ll function well overall, but keep in mind, some CPU-bound scenarios might hold back performance a bit. If you notice your CPU can't keep up after the upgrade, that might be a sign to consider upgrading it too. But for gaming at 4K, your current CPU should still do just fine in most cases.

You can definitely switch it out, but do pay attention to your PSU cables! Also, remember there will always be some bottlenecks no matter the upgrade, so it's part of the game.

Yes, swapping out for a 5080 is a good move! While the Ryzen 7 5800X might bottleneck in specific games, the overall performance enhancement is going to be significant, especially with increased VRAM. If you plan to go even higher later, like a 5090, consider upgrading your CPU then.
