Hey everyone! I'm looking to start upgrading my old PC, but I can't afford a full upgrade right now. I mainly play CS2, and I've noticed it doesn't heavily utilize the GPU on lower resolutions and settings (I'm playing at 1280x960 stretched competitive settings). I'm thinking about starting with a new CPU along with a motherboard and RAM as my first step. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: i5 4460
- GPU: Zotac GTX960
- Motherboard: ASUS H97M-E/CSM
- RAM: Corsair C9 Vengeance DDR3 2x4GB
- Power Supply: Corsair CX500M
I'm considering going for an AMD 7600X or 7500F, along with a couple of lower-cost Intel options like the 14400F and 14100F. Would this be a good approach?

Absolutely, you can go gradual! Keeping your GPU and PSU for now is smart. I’d recommend getting the Ryzen 5 7600X with a decent B650 motherboard and either 16, 32, or 64 GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000 MHz for a solid upgrade.
Thanks for the guidance!
