I'm currently recording videos using my phone, but I'm interested in switching to my laptop instead. What are the best software options available, both free and paid? Can I connect my iPhone camera and a wireless microphone to the laptop? I assume they need cables to work, right? Also, will this help save storage on my iPhone, since the footage should be saved on the laptop instead?

I had some issues with latency when I tried using my phone for recording. I ended up going with an inexpensive camcorder and recording audio straight to a thumb drive for easier editing. Sometimes you gotta experiment to see what works best for you!

Interesting idea! Instead of switching to a laptop, why not just stick with your phone for recording and then transfer the files to your laptop or a cloud service later? It could save you a lot of hassle!

I've had a great experience with OBS Studio! It's a free tool that does a lot of what you’re looking for, and it’s super user-friendly. You can adjust the settings to suit your needs or just stick with the defaults, which work well too.
