Is it safe to cool my phone in the fridge if it overheats?

My Samsung Galaxy A02 tends to overheat while charging, and I'm wondering if putting it in the fridge for a bit would help cool it down instead of waiting around for ten minutes. Is this a good idea?

Putting your phone in the fridge could lead to worse problems, including fire hazards! Better keep a fire extinguisher nearby just in case. You should really think about getting that battery changed to avoid any danger.

I get that, but I’m only 14 and can’t really get that done myself. It’s frustrating!

It's risky, man! The humidity from the fridge could mess with your phone's electronics. I’d advise against it—maybe just let it cool down on its own or take it to a repair shop instead.

Yeah, you can technically put your phone in the fridge, but you really shouldn’t. Doing so exposes the internal parts to moisture, which can lead to short circuits. It’s better to just wait for it to cool off naturally.
