I'm experiencing micro-stutters and FPS drops in nearly every game on my laptop because the GPU thermal throttling kicks in at just 71 degrees Celsius. I have an MX230 GPU, which is marketed to handle up to 100 degrees. However, I'm worried about potential damage to the laptop's internals, especially since it's from a less reputable brand that only exists in my country. Would it be advisable to increase the throttling limit, and if so, how much can I safely push it before running into serious issues?

What games are you playing? It's hard to give exact advice without knowing your setup. If you're playing titles like Valorant or Minecraft and hitting high FPS but experiencing throttling, that definitely sounds frustrating.
Just a heads up, CPU and GPU throttling usually hits around 90°C, and they can shut down at 100°C. I get your hesitation with your laptop brand, though. It might be safer to raise your limit to about 85°C instead of 90°C to avoid issues with the motherboard or plastic casing, especially if quality control is a concern with your model.
Thanks for the advice! I guess I'll try 85°C and see how it goes, just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter which games I'm playing, I just want to smooth out the performance. I've noticed major drops due to throttling even in games like Roblox or Slime Rancher.
