I'm thinking about installing the iOS 26 beta on my iPhone, but I'm worried about potential issues. If something goes wrong, can I just do a DFU restore through my Mac? Also, is there a risk that the beta could permanently brick my phone?

Yeah, you can restore your phone using DFU mode if things get messy. Just keep in mind that any backups made while you’re on beta might not be usable if you downgrade back to a stable version.
Make sure to backup your data to your computer before installing the beta and archive that backup, so it doesn’t get erased the next time you sync. Also, it might be a good idea to wait for the public beta to come out—usually, it’s more stable than the developer beta.
Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely going to wait for the public beta now.
