Is it safe to keep using my iPhone with a 72% battery health for another year?

I purchased an iPhone 13 around two and a half years ago, and right now, its battery health sits at 72%. It still functions perfectly—I charge it twice a day, and there's no lag at all. However, the battery doesn't last as long as it used to. I'm wondering if it's safe to continue using it for another year or if that would be too risky. Additionally, if I decide to sell it in India, how much could I expect to get for it? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, you've got time! Battery percentage is a guide, not a death sentence. It's about how you use it; if you’re not facing issues and it's working well, keep rocking it. Just be cautious if you see any swelling on the battery. Then it’s definitely time to consider a replacement.

Exactly! My iPhone 8 Plus is still kicking along with 65% health, and I have no issues at all. Apple tries to make us paranoid about battery health.

You can definitely use your iPhone for a while longer as long as it’s still performing well. Just a heads up, once the battery health dips below 80%, the risk of instability increases—think random crashes and lag. However, if your phone is running fine now, you might be okay for another year. As for selling, the trade-in market can be decent; sites like Backmarket.com are worth checking out!

Yeah, my iPhone has been running smoothly too even at 72%. It's just the battery that doesn't hold up well anymore.

You should be good for another year! However, be mindful; with a battery below 80%, things can degrade quickly. If you're considering replacing it, Apple's battery replacement is $89, which can extend its life significantly.

Yeah, I get that! My old phone was slow, but I just had to charge it more often.
