Is it safe to lay my PC on its side to prevent GPU sag?

I'm trying to find a way to prevent GPU sag and avoid bending or spending money on a vertical mount kit. Laying the PC on its metal panel side seems like a potential solution. Has anyone done this for extended periods? Have you experienced any damage to the motherboard or GPU?

It's pretty unlikely that laying your PC on its side will cause any damage. The design of most cases supports the GPU's weight pretty well, so you should be fine.

I've done it before without any issues! Most motherboards are designed to handle that kind of weight, especially since they’re supported by the case in the middle.
